Thursdays Are For Knit Group And Survivor

I must be getting old. After my morning power walk, making scalloped potatoes for 16, sweet potatoes for 16, rushing off to the hairdresser for a trim, back home for lunch, then leaving early for knit group so I could run a few errands beforehand, I forgot to take my camera! It doesn't seem that many years ago that I could manage a morning like that during commercial breaks. Now, I can't remember my camera.

Sadly, that means, you won't see that Sharon has finished the body of her purple top down sweater. Ingrid is half done a shrug like the one Doreen let her model last week. Guess what what colour Ingrid chose? Lilac. Surprise surprise. And Wilma has finished a second Olympic sweater for grand daughter number 2.

But I can give you Doreen's recipe for a fabulous chocolate treat that she brought to knit group today.

Doreen's Decadent Chocolate Squares
2 C chocolate chips
1 C sweetened condensed milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 Tblsp butter
1 cup chopped dried cranberries
1/2 cup coconut.

Place all except berries and coconut in a bowl and microwave until melted, removing every minute to stir.

Add berries and coconut.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 cake pan. Cool. Drizzle melted white chocolate over top if desired.

Cool then cut into squares.

Thanks Doreen. It was delicious.

Off to watch Survivor. Russell and Rob are building to a battle.

Happy Easter everyone and thanks for reading.

Welcome to my forgetful world! Actually, I may have to go have a little lie down, after reading about your busy day!

The recipe looks wonderful. It definitely has "ohh, I wish I'd never seen that yummy recipe" potential, if you know what I mean! ;-)

Happy Easter!
