Amazing as it seems, especially to me, I think Autumn Fair is on target. With a goal to be wearable by the end of the month, I have almost two thirds of the body finished. I think I can finish it on time.
The sleeves, tackled first, are done. The back, the current piece, requires 6 and a half repeats of the 18 row cable pattern before reaching the yoke and right now, I am working on repeat number 6. The end of this major piece is in sight.
The yoke is a less complicated, garter ridge pattern so should flow from my needles more quickly.
Today, I feel confident that I will wear this on November 1. Mind you, before that date, there is a week of house guests to host, a Thanksgiving dinner to prepare and various other community commitments to honour. But I think I can, I think I can...

Wow. You have the electric knitting machine and then you - the manual one!
Most encouraging progress; you're a good example to timid-knitting folk like me.
